About Me

Hi! My name is Ella Morrissey and I am a writer, editor and content creator from Connecticut. I am currently searching for any entry level or associate communications or marketing positions, primarily in the sports or entertainment field.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and minors in international relations and business from Lehigh University, having graduated in 2023. While at Lehigh, I served as a head section editor of both the sports and community sections for The Brown and White newspaper, winning various awards for my writing and coverage. I also completed my senior year thesis on the future of women in sports journalism and broadcasting. 

Since graduating, I have been working a number of part time and freelance roles as a writer, content creator, story editor and events operations assistant, specifically in the sports and entertainment fields. Whether it is working on the field at a New York City Football Club game, interviewing young talent including authors, artists and actors, or designing content and graphics for a nationally recognized women's basketball site, I am not afraid to challenge myself and try new things. I additionally traveled to Thailand in November 2023 to network and work the OCEANMAN Open Water Swimming Championship. 

In addition to my work, I am an avid reader, concertgoer, musician, traveler and sports fan.
